Student Summit.

What did you enjoy the most from this project?
~Learning how to do a project and designed around real world contexts, connecting with other students around the world on the topics that we did and worked together.  I learned that it was a "we" project not "me"  while working on the global collaboration process project, which means that everything that one did, did it for the whole team and wasnt crediting from themselves.

What were your biggest challenges & obstacles?
~Some of the biggest challenges I had during the Global Collaboration Process was mostly finding things I could work with, with the process of picking great information for our group project. Staying focus, gathering information, working together was a great oppurtunity to connect with others in the class as well as our teachers. The biggest challenge was mostly was just inviting other people because I wasn't used to working with other people outside the classroom with my classmates and friends, but it was a great oppurtunity to really get to know them on the outside of working on the project.

Any changes you'd like to see made to make this stronger, better, or meaningful for the next class?
~Some changes I'd like to see is really getting everything done on time the longer you wait the more hard it is going to be hard on your group and your classmates with you in your class. Connecting with other students is going to help you and your teachers/classmates with getting help with your projects.  It's a hands-on class that really is helping with your communication skills and how to connect with the world out there. By learning news ways that the world didnt have before is a great advantage to take and learning the new skills everyone can do and change from now now instead of the ways people were then. This class has helped me so much even though I had a lot of obstacles to achieve I finally got through it, and my work paid off overall.

The World is flat

I watched a video today in my digi-tools class called "The World is flat" by Thomas L. Friedman who talked about how the world is not ready for this technology that we have and that a lot of people are having ways of confusion by getting ahold of it.  PC allowed indiviudals to envolve & often their own content the world of a way of learning. Learned that Netscape didn't come public til 8-9-95 in California.  It was the first internet browser that started off at $28 and when it went public it was amazing how much of the results of when it went skyrocketed.

There are 3 great eras of gobalization: World 1.0 (a.d.-1420) World 2.0 (1420-2000) World 3 (2000-present).  IPO- Initial Public Offering was also something that I learned and had no idea what it meant.  It was the first Netscape browser that brought internet to life. Fire optic cable is what runs into back and forth from the internet. Global platform for multiple type of communications and there are many: Upload: to the internet. Download: off the internet. Open source software: free to the public online software.

The importment message that went across in my head is: "whatever can be done will be done the only question left is will it be done by you or to you." which is one of the iron rules of business to remember.  How i feel is what this video was trying to teach me is how so much of the world be flatter and what needs to be learned and known. It is a way of life and that it should not ever be taught when we are bringing new borns in the world and coming up with all this new technologly people don't no what to do with it. It's really up for us to decide whether we want to or not.

OneNote.

Before this class I never even knew about OneNote. It is pretty easy to learn how to use at first you will get the hang of it. You can do a lot of interesting things on onenote such as..  customize the font, color, blog title, blog description, modify profile, put videos and inages on blogs, sync, comments, managing your own blog which would be great for people that are in the professional and business side. It makes everything alot easier than carrying a notebook ! OneNote is the easy-to-use note-taking and information-management program where you can capture ideas and information in electronic form. You can insert files or Web content in full-color, searchable format or as icons that you can click to access. A really easy way to gather, format, organize, and share information for everyone! It is all set up for you and its real easy by doing it step by step in order to keep your notes attached on OneNote. So take advantage of this because it is such an amazing tool you can use everyday in class
